Client Aqua Properties Architect Quay 2c Category Residential

New build 5 storey development of 14 apartments using Glulam timber as the structure and finished fabric. The scheme was highly sustainable with very low embodied energy. The whole process was designed and prefabricated off site and the building was put up in six weeks prior to internal fitout works.

The scheme became the largest mixed use building in the UK with a main superstructure of prefabricated solid laminate timber panels.

The mechanical and electrical systems included underfloor heating and natural ventilation using passive stack extract systems.
